As the third year of the pandemic is just beginning, many employees and employers are noticing the heightened rates of stress and burnout in the workplace. In recent studies nearly 3 of 5 employees reported negative impacts of work-related stress, including lack of interest, motivation or energy resulting in lack of effort at work. At the same time, employees reported cognitive wariness, emotional exhaustion and physical fatigue at a 35% higher rate than in 2018. Stress reducing measures are on the top of mind for employers and employees alike. Many employers are already responding by including meditation and mindfulness activities for their employees.
The Center for Inspired Action is a non-profit religious organization that now offers Guided Mindfulness Meditation practices designed for any workplace. These events can be a one time class, a workshop designed for an employee retreat, a series of classes on specific topics ongoing workshops offered on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Other topics can be added such as desk yoga and art therapy. Class are offered in person or zia zoom.
