The Center for Inspired Action offers series of progressive classes designed to facilitate the connection to self through meditation, strengthening your self awareness and learning to be mindful. Developing awareness of one's needs and feelings is the first step toward creating mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Our classes offer a learning opportunity to cultivate and the access your abilities for growth and change.
A mindful life is not achieved by accident, but through daily practice. Mindfulness is a quality of awareness that is kind, curious and non-judgemental. The task is to settle the mind and heart in such a way that we can be open to and observe life however it is occuring in the moment - even if it means dealing with a busy mind or unpleasant emotion. Through self awareness one can successfully live in the world, without becoming overwhelmed by it.
At the Center for Inspired Action you will learn the importance of mindfulness, and therefore learn how to manage, cultivate and heal with it in your daily life. Meditation is training your mind, much like physical exercise for the body. Just like you strengthen your muscles by going to the gym, you can strengthen your awareness with a regular meditation practice. The classes are designed to encourage you recognize that stress, anxiety, depression, health and relationship issues are not isolated problems, but rather, helpful signals that an imbalance needs to be addressed and transformed.
Although mindfulness is incredibly powerful, it is not the only tool you'll need in your healing toolkit. It is most impactful when combined with other healing modalities such as psychotherapy, good diet and exercise, addiction recovery and working with your doctor. Recently, meditation has been studied and does have a positive impact on the mind and body, including, but not limited to; stress reduction, anxiety relief, relieving chronic pain, preventing memory loss, addiction, better sleep, increasing energy, creativity and intuition, concentration and focus, healing mood disorders and even lowering blood pressure.
Here's how it works: You can take one level, the first two steps, or the whole series; whatever is right for you
